SUMMARY:Green Campus Caravan: Second Edition
DESCRIPTION:The second edition of the Green Campus Caravan was held at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology on November 15th\, 2023. Around 100 students participated in the training that included topics such as climate adaptation\, responsible environmental activism\, leveraging career opportunities in the climate space\, and carbon markets. Thereafter\, participants proceeded to plant tree seedlings within the university compound. \nThe chief guest was Beatrice Ndinda\, the Alumni Relations Manager at YALI RLC East Africa. Other guests included Aileen Mukiri – Assistant County Commissioner of Murera Division\, Meshack Omega – Assistant County Commissioner at the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination Headquarters\, Eva Makandi – Founder of Light On A Hill organization\, Grace Maghangha – Founder of Action for Climate Empowerment. \n \n

DESCRIPTION:The first edition of the Green Campus Caravan was held at St. Paul’s University on September 27th\, 2023\, in partnership with the Green Anglicans Movement\, Young Theologians in Climate Action\, Anglican Development Services of Kenya\, and TearFund. Over 80 students participated in the training. The keynote speaker was Rev. Dennis Nthenge\, the Chaplain to the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya.
